Health Guarantee

Castlereigh Jack Russell Terriers guarantees the puppy to be purebred and registerable or recordable with the following registry: Jack Russell Terrier Club of America, or JRTCA.

The puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours of purchase. If the veterinarian determines that the puppy is ill or not as represented, a full refund of the purchase price—less the initial $350 deposit—will be issued, provided the puppy is returned within that 72-hour period and in the same condition as when it left. No refunds will be given after the initial 72-hour health warranty has expired.

The puppy is guaranteed until 1 year of age against all fatal and life-threatening congenital diseases which adversely affects the health of the animal. This guarantee does not cover incorrect bites, undescended testicles, coccidia/giardia or other parasites/worms common to all puppies, undesirable ear sets, as well as any purely cosmetic issues. In the event of a serious life-threatening condition, if the reason is congenital, the Seller will replace the pup. The seller must be notified within 5 days of vet diagnosis. Replacement puppy will be for any available pup of the Buyer’s choosing. 

The 1-year guarantee could be extended at the discretion of Castlereigh Jack Russell Terriers after reviewing the circumstances.

Castlereigh Jack Russell Terriers cannot guarantee specific coat type or size at maturity, though we will do our best to be as accurate as possible. Since any cross of a smooth-coated dog to a broken-coated dog can result in the coat breaking later on in a smooth coat, there can’t be any guarantees in this. There are tools available if you want to keep your coats very short. Call me and I can tell you how to find them.

All puppies under 16 weeks old are sold strictly as pets with no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the pup in the future, regardless of show or breeding potential seen as a puppy, unless specified in the bill of sale.

If, for some reason, ever, the Buyer cannot provide a permanent home for this dog, Castlereigh Jack Russell Terriers (is willing to assist in efforts to re-home the terrier.) The Buyer is not entitled to any refund of money or expenses if the owner surrenders or re-homes their dog.

Seller will not be responsible under any circumstances for any veterinary (or other) bill incurred by Buyer. All transportation costs are to be paid by the Buyer, including those incurred if the terrier is returned.

This contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of California, in the county of Los Angeles. It is agreed that the place of venue shall be Lancaster, CA.
